Happy Porto Hostel

I loved everything about this hostel - friendly staff, spacious room, clean bathrooms, great location. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at Happy Porto Apartments for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The sunset view over the Douro River was absolutely stunning, and the location was easily accessible from the airport by bus. The Sao Bento metro station was also within walking distance. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well-organized, with additional amenities like extra blankets and a radiator for heat. The bathrooms were also very nice and had individual access for each room. a great place to stay with a convenient location and helpful staff.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at Happy Porto. The hostel was impeccably clean and our host went above and beyond to help us with transportation and ensure we had a smooth trip. The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The staff were thoughtful and the reception being open late was very convenient. The beds and linens were comfortable and the dorm room layout was well-designed. I felt welcomed and taken care of during my stay.

We were really surprised by the warm welcome and personal attention we received at Happy Porto Apartments. The staff took the time to provide us with detailed recommendations and insights about the city, making our stay even better. The dormitory with a private bathroom was comfortable and spacious, accommodating our group of eight perfectly. The location along the Douro River offered a lovely view, and with taxis readily available and a tram passing in front of the apartment, getting around was convenient. Despite the hilly streets of Porto, we didn't mind the exercise and found it added to the charm of the area.

happy exceeded my expectations during this stay in Porto. the location by the river, comfy beds, spacious clean bathroom, and friendly staff made it a delightful experience.

Wifi was unreliable.

The staff at the hostel were extremely helpful and friendly, providing valuable recommendations and tips for exploring the city. They were also very accommodating when we returned late at night. the rooms were clean and the facilities were excellent, especially considering the price. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Porto in the future.

The staff made us feel like part of their family, and were always willing to go above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed.

The location of the hotel is superb, right in front of the river and close to the city center. It is conveniently situated in the square along the road just opposite the photographic museum. the staff is friendly and always ready to answer questions and provide recommendations about the city and nearby restaurants. the rooms and bathrooms were clean and enjoyable, and the hotel offers a fantastic view of the river. there is a supermarket within a 15-minute walking distance and a bus stop nearby for easy transportation to the beach.

The noise from the street was a bit bothersome due to poor insulation in the room.

I had the pleasure of staying at a recently renovated hostel with a super careful hostess named Ana or Paula. She provided us with helpful maps and gave us a great overview of the city. The bedroom for 10 people had 2 toilets and 2 showers, which was a pleasant surprise. The hostel was clean, neat, and well-organized. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

The internet connection was unreliable and slow, which made it difficult to stay connected and enjoy online activities. the main lounging area was a bit small and awkward, limiting the space for relaxation and socializing.
